The National Territorial Resources Office of the Autonomous Region approved The Estimation Report for the Disaster-inclined Geology of Baota Comprehensive Project District in Ningdong Heavy Chemical-Engineering Base .

The railway leased line for oil products in Luhuatai came into operation and the first train of crude oil was discharged for the first time successfully.

March 10 th

The Supervision Committee ratified the construction of the heat-preservation plant attached to Plant No.2 of the Baota Petrochemical Group.

The project of 40-thousand tons of polypropylene was started in Ningdong Base of the Group.

The Papers of Baota Petrochemical and the Yinchuan University were entitled as the Prize of Driving Force for inside journals of Top 10 Excellent Enterprises in China, issued by the Social Investigation Institute of China and the Organizing Committee of the Baiye Social Investigation of in China.

Late June

The President Sun Yanchao was listed in the Top Figures of the Economics of the Year 2005 by the publishing house of International Economic Figures and won “the Nomination Prize” for the 2 nd Round of the Top 10 Economic Figures in China.
